Large Scale Abstract Paintings

Large-scale work is composed in the round — my body circling the canvas, the brush moving from the shoulder, layers pushed and scraped back over weeks until the gesture settles. These are the paintings that anchor great rooms, double-height entries, and hotel lobbies: at the Conrad Nashville — interiors by Champalimaud Design, the New York firm behind the Carlyle and the Bel-Air — I'm the most-placed artist on the property, with 33 originals across the suites, public spaces, and both dining rooms. For the biggest walls I build across stretched canvas tiles that reassemble seamlessly on site — there's effectively no upper limit.
