I choose to paint as a respite from the deluge of digital life and strive to draw a person into the moment of now. Creating is an expression that greatly satisfies the human spirit.

My work is line based and highly dependent on value exchange. Most paintings begin with a color story and have areas of stillness and areas of energy eminating. My process is very physical, relying on instinct and reaction.

When I am "in the flow" an energy is produced and powers the piece I am creating. Its funny how In a movement all falls together creating layers built from process. Getting to that finishing movement is like winning a small struggle and very fulfilling .
