Design Deep Dive with Interior Designer's Widell+Boschetti
How many years have you been in the interior design business and how would you describe your design aesthetic?
Meet Barette Widell and Christina Boschetti of the Philadelphia interior design duo Widell + Boschetti
Their work includes a harmonious blend of lush fabrics and dynamic textures reflecting the W+B trademark of juxtaposition in every interior. The balancing of transitional and modern design through simple and streamlined furnishings -- without being trendy or cold --is their true north. W+B are always on the search for "the most original" interior art whether it be paintings, light fixtures or custom furniture. Customization is a serious part of their mix of styles and periods, pieced together in the most original and surprising ways.
“We take to heart and genuinely listen to our clients’ needs. "
WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR ALMOST 5 YEARS COMING IN JANUARY. WE WOULD DESCRIBE OUR DESIGN AESTHETIC AS CONTEMPORARY WHICH IS CONSTANTLY EVOLVING. WE LOVE TO PAIR PRETTY WITH CUTTING EDGE AND UNEXPECTED TOUCHES.
Best advice you have received on running your interior design business? HIRE EMPLOYEES THAT CAN DO THINGS YOU CANNOT OR ARE NOT GOOD AT. FOR US, THAT WOULD BE KEEPING TRACK OF MONEY AND TECHNICAL DRAWINGS!
OUR FIRST HIRE WAS AN OFFICE MANAGER WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF ALL INVOICING, PURCHASING and RECEIVING. SOON AFTER, WE HIRED THE TECHNICAL ASPECT. THIS ALLEVIATED A TON OF STRESS AND ELMINATED NEEDLESS MISTAKES.
